FN’s FN 15 Tactical II Carbine delivers proven military-grade barrel manufacturing, a sturdy free-float rail system, and dependable AR-15 controls in a factory-built package. Made in the USA and marked with the FNG serial prefix, this rifle features a 16-inch cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel produced on the same machinery that turns out U.S.-contract M4A1 barrels. A mid-length gas system, H-buffer, and SCAR-derived three-prong flash hider round out a carbine designed for smooth recoil and long service life.

The 16-inch cold-hammer-forged CMV steel barrel is chrome-lined for corrosion resistance and durability. FN’s manufacturing process, identical to its military production line, ensures consistent accuracy and long barrel life. The 1:7 RH twist stabilizes a broad range of bullet weights, while standard 1/2-28 threads allow easy suppressor or muzzle device changes.
A proprietary 15-inch FN free-float aluminum handguard uses a wedge-lock system to remain solid under heat and recoil. Full-length M-LOK slots and an uninterrupted top rail give ample space for optics and accessories while keeping weight down.
The mid-length gas system paired with an H-buffer softens impulse for faster follow-up shots. Controls stay familiar with a standard charging handle, magazine release, and manual safety selector.
Forged 7075-T6 upper and lower receivers wear a black hard-coat anodized finish and carry FN’s MP test marking for verified strength. Magpul MBUS flip-up sights ship installed, providing reliable back-up aiming out of the box.
