What's Included
- Winchester Model 12 Field Grade 12 GA pump-action shotgun with 28" Modified choke barrel
- Factory shell limiter installed (capacity 2+1)
Built in 1959, this pre-1964 Model 12 uses Winchester’s forged-steel receiver and Winchester Proof Steel barrel, giving it the sturdy, workhorse reputation the model is known for. The shotgun retains its original blued finish, highlighted by Winchester circled “WP” proof marks on both receiver and barrel.
The 28-inch plain barrel carries a fixed Modified choke and a brass bead front sight—an ideal setup for general field use. Chambered for 2 3/4" shells, the gun is currently fitted with a factory shell limiter that restricts capacity to 2+1, making it ready for migratory bird regulations.
A 12-groove walnut forend teams with an un-checkered walnut pistol-grip stock that measures a 14.0" length of pull. The takedown system allows quick separation of barrel and magazine from the receiver, simplifying transport and cleaning.
Like all original Model 12s, this example is slam-fire capable, cycling and firing without a disconnector when the trigger is held back. That feature, combined with the shotgun’s smooth action, has long been valued by seasoned pump-gun shooters.
