1960 Winchester Model 94 Pre-64 .30-30 Carbine – 20" Blued Barrel, Walnut Stock
Built in 1960, this Winchester Model 94 Pre-64 Carbine represents the last generation of forged-steel Model 94s produced before the 1964 redesign. Collectors prize these earlier carbines for their milled receivers, smooth lever action, and classic straight-grip walnut stock. Chambered in the time-tested .30-30 Winchester and fitted with iron sights, this 20-inch carbine offers the quality construction and handling balance that made the Model 94 an American standard.

What’s Included
- Winchester Model 94 Pre-64 .30-30 Carbine
Winchester built this carbine with a forged carbon-steel receiver and a forged 20-inch round barrel, both finished in a uniform blue. The serial number range (2430xxx) confirms 1960 production, placing it firmly in the desirable Pre-64 era known for higher-grade machining and parts.
The rifle retains its factory top-eject action, feeding from a full-length tubular magazine that holds six rounds plus one in the chamber. Operation is fast and reliable, true to the Model 94’s long-standing reputation.
Sighting is handled by a hooded ramp post front sight and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight, giving shooters a precise yet traditional iron-sight picture well suited to the .30-30’s effective range.
The straight-grip walnut stock and matching handguard are uncheckered, showcasing clean grain and a 13.25-inch length of pull that fits most shooters comfortably. Winchester circled WP proof stamps remain crisp on both barrel and receiver.
