The OD-green frame is a factory variant, giving this XD a distinctive look while retaining the rugged polymer construction the series is known for. The full-size grip provides solid control, and the ambidextrous magazine release accommodates left- or right-handed shooters.
Its 4-inch hammer-forged steel barrel features a Melonite finish for corrosion resistance and a 1:16 LH twist that stabilizes standard .45 ACP loads. Fixed 3-dot steel sights offer a clear sight picture, and the slide includes both a striker status indicator and a tactile loaded-chamber indicator for immediate status checks.
Safety is enhanced by Springfield’s grip safety, trigger safety, and visual/tactile loaded-chamber indicator, allowing confident carry without external levers to manipulate. A three-slot Picatinny rail on the dust cover makes it easy to mount lights or lasers.
