Built between 1977 and 1998, the New Haven 600CF was produced by Mossberg as a private-label offering for department stores, yet it remains fully parts-compatible with standard Mossberg 500 components. That compatibility means aftermarket accessories and replacement parts are easy to source.
The 28" carbon-steel barrel carries a fixed Improved Cylinder choke, ideal for upland birds and general field use. A simple brass bead front sight keeps the sight picture uncluttered, while the receiver’s factory-smooth top is undrilled, preserving its clean lines.
Mossberg’s tang-mounted, ambidextrous safety and dual action bars deliver familiar, reliable handling. The anti-rattle magazine tube, unique to the 600 series, helps keep movement quiet while carrying.
A 14" length of pull hardwood stock and matching 12-groove fore-end give the shotgun a balanced feel, and the blued steel receiver and barrel maintain the classic Mossberg look. With a 2+1 capacity, it remains compact and easy to maneuver while still accepting 3" magnum loads.
