The Kel-Tec RDB17 is a compact, downward-ejecting bullpup built for true ambidextrous use. This example retains the proven 17.3-inch barrel and four-position adjustable gas system, but adds a free-float aluminum M-LOK handguard and a three-prong flash hider, giving the shooter expanded accessory space and improved muzzle control while keeping overall length to just 27.3 inches.

The RDB17’s bullpup layout centers the action behind the trigger, yielding a full-length 17.3-inch barrel in a package shorter than most carbines. With the barrel threaded 1/2-28 and topped by a three-prong flash hider, the rifle is ready for further muzzle accessories.
Kel-Tec’s short-stroke gas piston system runs cooler and cleaner than direct impingement designs, and the user can tune the four-position gas block to match ammunition or suppressor use. Spent cases exit straight downward, keeping ejection clear of left- or right-handed shooters.
The aftermarket aluminum M-LOK handguard replaces the factory polymer unit, creating continuous free-float support for the barrel while offering multiple, rigid accessory attachment slots. Combined with the optic-ready top rail and polymer lower, the rifle balances modern modularity with a 6.7-pound weight class.
Ambidextrous safety levers, an ambidextrous folding charging handle, and a 15-inch length of pull make the RDB17 intuitive for shooters of all sizes. Standard AR-15 pattern magazines ensure broad compatibility and easy sourcing of spares.
