The 18.5" stainless steel barrel uses Ruger’s V-block retention system, allowing straightforward barrel changes or upgrades. A 1:16 RH twist stabilizes a wide range of .22 LR loads, while the hoodless ramp front and folding leaf rear sights provide a clear, snag-free sight picture.
The matte stainless receiver is drilled and tapped at the factory, and the included four-hole rail accepts both Weaver and 3⁄8" tip-off rings for fast optic mounting. Integral rails on the receiver offer additional accessory flexibility.
An early-generation silver alloy trigger housing (pre-2008 pattern) contributes to the carbine’s 5-pound class weight and retains the familiar 10/22 trigger feel. The cross-bolt safety is easy to reach and positive to operate.
The black glass-filled polymer stock features molded non-slip panels and an integral butt-plate. With a 13.25" length of pull, it fits most shooters comfortably while keeping overall weight low and balance centered.
Ruger’s patented 10-round rotary magazine feeds reliably and sits flush for snag-free handling. Two magazines are included, so the carbine is ready for extended plinking sessions right out of the box.
