The Gamemaster Model 760 is one of the few pump-action center-fire rifles Remington produced, making it notable among both hunters and collectors. Its 14-lug rotating bolt locks solidly into a forged steel barrel extension, offering bolt-action-like strength in a fast follow-up platform.
This example retains its factory polished blued finish over forged steel components. While there is visible finish wear, the metal surfaces remain smooth, and all stampings—including the REP oval proof and inspector marks—are clear.
The straight-grip walnut stock and matching grooved fore-end give the rifle a traditional feel and good handling balance. Wood fit is solid, and the hand-cut checkering remains sharp.
Sighting is via the original ramped front post (hood not present) and a rear dovetail blank, with the receiver drilled and tapped for scope bases. Combined with the flat-shooting .270 Winchester chambering, it is ready for deer-class game or range duty with optics of your choice.
