This Russian-made Baikal IZH-43K Bounty Hunter II offers a compact 20-inch coach-gun profile, external hammers, and full factory engraving that depicts a detailed hunting scene on both side panels. Imported by EAA in the 2000s and proof-marked at 65 MPa, it was marketed for Cowboy Action Shooting and later inspired the Remington SPR220 Spartan. Fixed cylinder bores and double triggers give it straightforward, reliable performance in a classic break-action configuration.

Designed as a robust coach gun, the IZH-43K pairs external hammers with internal strikers, adding period style without sacrificing modern firing mechanisms. The short, 20-inch carbon-steel barrels are blued and proofed to 65 MPa, ensuring strength for standard 2 3/4-inch shells.
A deep blued receiver carries factory-cut engraving that features a hunting scene on each side, complemented by Izhevsk proof marks and the discreet EAA import stamp. The semi-pistol-grip walnut stock sports crisp checkering and a 14-inch length of pull for a balanced shoulder feel.
Dual triggers allow traditional barrel selection, while the tang safety offers intuitive on-safe handling. A brass bead front sight provides a clear, uncomplicated sight picture. Fixed cylinder bores make this gun well-suited for close-range stages in Cowboy Action Shooting or for general use where wide patterns are preferred.
Later adopted by Remington as the SPR220 Spartan, this original Baikal example represents the platform in its pure Russian form—simple, durable, and ready for the field or the range.
