The Performance Center M&P9 Shield EZ combines the Shield EZ platform’s user-friendly design with factory-installed upgrades aimed at faster follow-up shots, improved sight acquisition, and a lighter, crisper trigger pull. Built in 2023, this compact 9mm features a ported stainless barrel, weight-reduction slide cuts, and Hi-Viz Litewave H3 night sights, all tuned and finished by Smith & Wesson’s Performance Center.

Performance Center work starts with the 3.83-inch ported stainless barrel that vents gases upward to reduce muzzle rise. Matching ports and lightening cuts in the black Armornite-finished slide further tame recoil and trim weight for quicker cycling.
The flat-faced, skeletonized trigger is factory-tuned for a consistent single-action break, complementing the internal hammer-fired, locked-breech system. A grip safety, manual thumb safety, and internal firing-pin block provide layered security without slowing operation.
Hi-Viz Litewave H3 tritium/fiber-optic sights offer a bright three-dot picture day or night, with a green front blade and drift-adjustable rear. The Shield EZ’s Easy-Rack slide, lighter recoil spring, and tactile/visual loaded-chamber indicator make manipulation straightforward for users of varying hand strength.
