Built on a 7075-T6 aluminum alloy frame, the 92 F balances durability with manageable weight. The matte Bruniton coating on both frame and slide enhances corrosion resistance while maintaining a low-glare profile.
The short-recoil, locked-breech action operates in double-action/single-action mode. An ambidextrous slide-mounted safety lever doubles as a decocker, complemented by a firing-pin block and half-cock notch for added security.
The barrel is carbon steel, chrome-lined, and crowned for longevity and accuracy. Beretta’s open-top slide design aids reliable cycling and simplifies clearing of malfunctions.
Ergonomics include a reversible push-button magazine release, external hammer, and molded thermoplastic grips with integral checkering for a secure hold. Fixed three-dot sights provide a clear sight picture without snag points.
