Glock engineered the G44 slide from a polymer-steel hybrid to balance durability with reduced reciprocating mass, resulting in a rimfire pistol that cycles reliably and keeps recoil to a minimum.
The pistol’s fully adjustable rear sight is uncommon on standard Glock models, letting shooters fine-tune elevation and windage without aftermarket parts. A polymer dot-front sight completes the iron sight picture, and the 6.02-inch sight radius promotes consistent accuracy.
