Product Description

    Winchester Model 1906 Standard Pump-Action .22 S/L/LR Rifle – 1915 Production, Takedown, Blued Finish

Built in 1915, this Winchester Model 1906 Standard offers the classic pump-action feel that helped define small-bore rifles of the World War I era. Chambered for .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle, it features Winchester’s quick takedown screw, a 20-inch round barrel, and the distinctive grooved walnut slide handle. Serial number 432034B confirms its 1915 manufacture within the Model 06 sequence, making it a collectible example of one of Winchester’s most popular rimfire designs.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Fair condition, showing extensive signs of prior use and handling.
Bore Condition: Fair – Generally clean, some residue or smudges, slight corrosion.
Bore Rifling: Good Rifling – Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.

    What’s Included

    • Integral under-barrel tubular magazine (fixed to rifle)

This Model 1906 retains its original 20-inch carbon-steel barrel and blued receiver, both of which can be separated quickly for transport using Winchester’s patented takedown screw.

The rifle feeds from a fixed under-barrel magazine and cycles smoothly through .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle cartridges, giving the shooter flexibility in ammunition choice.

Walnut furniture includes a straight-grip stock with hard-rubber buttplate and a ribbed slide handle, providing a secure hold during rapid pump operation.

Open iron sights consist of a bead front and a drift-adjustable rear leaf with elevator, matching the period-correct configuration.

As a cost-effective counterpart to the Winchester Model 1890, the Model 1906 achieved a total production run exceeding 800,000 units; examples from the 1915 wartime period like this one remain sought after by collectors and rimfire enthusiasts alike.
