The ZEV Core Elite AR-15 pistol blends a compact 8.5-inch bronze PVD–coated match barrel with premium ambidextrous controls and a crisp 2.5 lb two-stage trigger. Built on forged 7075-T651 aluminum receivers and finished in black hard-coat anodizing, this direct-impingement pistol delivers ZEV’s competition DNA in a maneuverable .300 AAC Blackout platform.

The heart of this Core Elite is its 8.5-inch 416R stainless steel barrel. ZEV applies a durable bronze PVD coating, cuts a 1:7 RH twist for heavy subsonic bullets, and machines 5/8-24 threads for suppressor use—ideal for .300 BLK versatility.
The pistol-length gas system pairs with a ZEV Wedge-Lock free-float handguard built from 6000-series aluminum. An internal taper nut and anti-rotation pin lock the handguard solidly to the forged receivers, preserving accuracy and providing a full-length rail for optics and accessories.
Forged upper and lower receivers originate from the former Mega Arms patterns acquired by ZEV, offering tight tolerances and aggressive styling. Both receivers wear matching black Type III hard-coat anodizing for corrosion resistance.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety selector and oversized charging handle, making operation intuitive for left- or right-handed shooters. An ATC AR Gold flat-faced two-stage trigger breaks cleanly at 2.5 lb, shortening split times and improving precision.
An adjustable brace and Magpul MOE grip complete the package, keeping the pistol compact while maintaining ergonomic support for rapid handling.
