The green Cerakote slide, frame, and receiver set this HK45 apart from standard production models. The finish was applied at the factory in a limited batch, giving the pistol a distinctive, uniform look that also adds corrosion resistance.
Heckler & Koch designed the HK45 for the Joint Combat Pistol trials, so it carries service-oriented features such as a flat recoil spring with polymer bushing to tame .45 ACP recoil, full-length frame rails for durability, and a fully ambidextrous slide release paired with the paddle-style magazine release.
The V1 variant offers a double-action/single-action trigger with a left-side manual safety/decocker, allowing both “cocked-and-locked” and hammer-down carry. The external hammer provides immediate visual and tactile status feedback.
Cold-hammer-forged from chrome-moly steel, the 4.46" barrel uses polygonal rifling for extended service life and increased velocity. An O-ring around the muzzle ensures a tight, repeatable lock-up with the slide, supporting consistent accuracy.
Fixed 3-dot luminous sights give a clear sight picture in varied lighting, while the MIL-STD-1913 rail accommodates weapon lights or lasers. An interchangeable backstrap system lets shooters tailor grip size to their hand for better control.
