This second-generation Python is built entirely from stainless steel, from its six-shot cylinder to the ventilated-rib barrel with a recessed target crown. The result is a revolver that balances heft and durability while resisting the elements.
A smooth double-action/single-action leaf-spring trigger and wide, serrated hammer spur deliver the crisp let-off and positive reset that have long defined the Python’s reputation for shootability.
The 6-inch barrel uses a 1:14-inch left-hand twist to maximize accuracy with .357 Magnum loads. Six rectangular barrel rib ports aid cooling, and the full under-lug adds forward weight for controlled recoil.
