Serbu BFG-50 .50 BMG Bolt-Action Rifle – 31 in Match Barrel, Matte Grey
The Serbu BFG-50 delivers .50 BMG power in a purpose-built, single-shot platform designed for accuracy and durability. This 31-inch match-grade variant bridges the gap between the factory 29.5- and 36-inch models, giving the shooter added velocity without excessive length. Built on a rugged steel receiver and finished in matte grey, it combines a free-floated heavy barrel, threaded muzzle brake, and skeletonized alloy stock to tame recoil while keeping weight manageable.

The BFG-50 was introduced in 1999 by designer Mark Serbu to offer affordable .50 BMG performance without sacrificing build quality. Fewer than 2,000 rifles have been produced over the last 25 years, making each example relatively scarce.
This rifle’s 31-inch 4140/4150 alloy steel barrel is free-floated for consistent harmonics and cut with a 1:15 RH twist optimized for 650–800 grain projectiles. The barrel is threaded 1.00-14 RH and comes fitted with a large multi-port muzzle brake that substantially reduces felt recoil.
An aluminum handguard with ample ventilation keeps weight down and aids cooling during extended strings. A modular screw-on top rail can be ordered from Serbu with 0 or 30 MOA cant, allowing shooters to tailor their optic setup for extreme-range work.
The fixed, skeletonized alloy stock features a 13.5-inch length of pull and a thick rubber recoil pad, while a Hogue rubber pistol grip offers a secure, comfortable hold. An AR-15 pattern trigger breaks at roughly 6 pounds, and a two-position safety selector provides straightforward operation.
