Kimber 2K11 OR 9mm Double-Stack 1911 Pistol – Optics-Ready, 20+1 Capacity, Early-Run Serial
The Kimber 2K11 OR brings modern, double-stack performance to the classic 1911 platform. Built in the USA and individually assembled by a single technician, this full-size pistol combines a 20-round magazine system with an optics-ready slide, match-grade trigger, and patent-pending tool-less recoil system. This example comes from the inaugural 2024–2025 production batch, making it one of the first double-stack 1911s ever released by Kimber.

The 2K11 OR is Kimber’s first production double-stack 1911, offering a 20+1 capacity in a profile that maintains classic 1911 ergonomics. An integral flared magwell speeds reloads, while the 7075-T6 aluminum grip module reduces overall weight without sacrificing strength.
The DLC-finished slide features front and rear chevron serrations for solid purchase and an external extractor that departs from traditional Kimber design for improved reliability. An optics-ready cut accepts common miniature red-dot footprints, and the pistol ships with a C&H Precision RMR adapter plate installed.
A stainless, fluted, ramped barrel wears a bronze PVD finish and is deep-crowned for enhanced accuracy and easy cleaning. The match-grade, skeletonized aluminum trigger delivers a crisp single-action break, complemented by a Series 70-style action with no firing-pin block for a smoother pull.
Ambidextrous thumb safeties, a grip safety, and the patent-pending tool-less recoil spring guide rod simplify maintenance and provide user-friendly handling. A fiber-optic TAG FiberLok-2 front sight and serrated rear notch give a bright, snag-free sight picture until an optic is installed.
