Heckler & Koch introduced the VP9 SK in 2017 as a shortened, more concealable version of the full-size VP9. This pistol bears the inaugural “BH” date code and part number 700009K-A5, confirming it left Oberndorf in the first year of production with factory luminous sights.
The 3.39-inch barrel is cold hammer-forged from chromium-molybdenum steel and uses HK’s polygonal rifling, a design that maintains velocity, eases cleaning, and is rated for extended +P use. A right-hand 1:9.8 twist stabilizes common 9mm bullet weights.
Ambidextrous paddle mag releases, slide-lock levers, and charging supports make the gun fully left- or right-hand friendly. The modular grip system includes three backstraps and six side panels, giving up to 27 possible grip configurations to tailor fit.
Forward and rear cocking serrations paired with the removable charging supports provide extra leverage when racking the nitrided slide. Inside, HK’s precision strike trigger offers a crisp break with a short, tactile reset.
