Designed for maximum versatility, the 4.5-inch hammer-forged barrel is threaded 1/2x28 for quick attachment of suppressors or compensators. A durable Melonite treatment protects the rifling while delivering a smooth bore and long service life.
The slide wears a Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish and features both front and rear serrations plus an OSP cut with cover plate, letting you mount popular red-dot optics without gunsmithing. Suppressor-height sights—a tall black blade up front and a tactical rack rear—co-witness through most micro-red dots.
Springfield’s META flat-faced trigger breaks at roughly 5 lb and offers a tactile, audible reset. Safety is handled by the integral trigger lever, grip safety, and striker-pin block. Fully ambidextrous slide-stop levers and a reversible push-button magazine release keep the pistol friendly for right- or left-handed users.
A three-slot Picatinny rail on the dust cover supports weapon lights or lasers, while interchangeable back-straps let you tailor the polymer grip to your hand. The observed serial number prefix “BY” places this example firmly within the limited 2023–2025 run that Springfield discontinued, adding future collectability.
