Originally developed from FN’s entry in the U.S. Joint Combat Pistol program, the FNX-45 Tactical brings combat-proven design cues to the commercial market. Its glass-filled nylon frame houses replaceable steel rails for long-term durability, while an external hammer and double-action/single-action trigger give shooters both second-strike capability and a crisp single-action break.
The 5.3-inch stainless steel barrel is cold-hammer-forged for longevity and accuracy, and it comes factory threaded 0.578-28 TPI for suppressors or compensators. Suppressor-height tritium night sights clear most muzzle devices and co-witness with many micro red dots.
An optic-ready slide with a durable matte black PVD finish includes FN’s plate system that accepts several popular mini-red-dot footprints. Front and rear cocking serrations provide positive purchase for slide manipulation, even with gloves or when using an optic.
Fully ambidextrous controls—safety/decocker, slide stop, and an enlarged, textured magazine release—make the pistol easy to run with either hand. A lanyard loop at the rear of the frame offers an additional retention option for duty or field use.
With a 15+1 capacity in .45 ACP and three magazines included, the FNX-45 Tactical delivers extended firepower. Interchangeable backstraps allow quick adjustment to hand size, and the accessory rail accommodates weapon lights or lasers for enhanced capability.
