Winchester Model 75 Target .22 LR Bolt-Action Rifle – 28 in Barrel, 1945 Production
Built in 1945, this Winchester Model 75 Target represents the first variation of Winchester’s post-war rimfire target rifle. Fewer Model 75 Target rifles were produced than the standard version, and the 28-inch barrel paired with factory target sights and scope blocks makes this example especially desirable for shooters and collectors who value period-correct competition features.

Approximately 88,000 Model 75 rifles left the New Haven factory between 1938 and 1958, yet the dedicated Target variant with its longer heavy barrel and precision sights remains less common. Serial number 46700 dates this rifle to 1945, placing it firmly in the sought-after early post-war production window.
The 28-inch carbon-steel barrel is drilled and tapped for Unertl-pattern external-adjustment target scopes, allowing the shooter to add period-correct optics without modification. Factory-installed target sights include a hooded globe front and a micrometer aperture rear, giving the rifle excellent sighting options straight from the factory.
A walnut stock with oil-varnish finish features a wide beavertail fore-end, integral accessory rail, and a comfortable pistol grip. The 13.5-inch length of pull fits most adult shooters, and the blued metalwork contrasts cleanly with the dark walnut furniture.
The rifle accepts the same detachable magazine pattern used in Winchester Models 52, 69, and 69A, making spares easy to source. This example ships with one original 5-round Winchester magazine, preserving its period authenticity.
