The FNX-45 was developed from FN’s Joint Combat Pistol program entry, bringing battle-ready features to the commercial market. Its 4.5" cold-hammer-forged stainless barrel offers long service life and consistent accuracy, while the 1:16" right-hand twist stabilizes common .45 ACP bullet weights.
Fully ambidextrous controls—magazine release, slide stop, and combined safety/decocker—let right- and left-handed shooters run the gun without modification. The exposed ring hammer and DA/SA trigger system provide both second-strike capability and a crisp single-action break.
The black polymer frame houses a 15-round double-stack magazine yet maintains a manageable grip circumference. Checkered panels and interchangeable backstraps let the shooter tailor the feel. Up front, a four-slot MIL-STD-1913 rail easily accepts lights or lasers.
Front and rear cocking serrations, an external extractor, and three-dot fixed sights round out a package designed for reliability and fast handling. This is the standard (non-Tactical) configuration, offering the same core performance at a lighter weight and lower profile.
