Taurus PT 92 AF 9mm Full-Size DA/SA Pistol – 5" Barrel, Matte Black, 15+1
This early PT 92 AF was built in Brazil on original Beretta 92 tooling, giving it the proven open-top slide design and frame-mounted three-position safety/decocker that sets it apart from later variants. A full-length 5-inch barrel, alloy frame, and ambidextrous controls make it a practical choice for duty or range use while retaining collector interest as a non-railed, first-generation model.

Manufactured in São Leopoldo, Brazil, this PT 92 AF reflects Taurus’s early collaboration period when the company acquired Beretta’s tooling and expertise. The result is a pistol that mirrors the original 92’s ergonomics while adding a frame-mounted safety/decocker favored by many shooters.
The open-top carbon-steel slide improves ejection reliability and provides a distinctive profile. Its matte blued/black finish pairs with an aluminum-alloy frame to balance durability and manageable weight.
Controls are fully ambidextrous. The three-position lever functions as a manual safety, decocker, and “fire” selector, allowing both cocked-and-locked and decocked carry. An exposed spur hammer and traditional DA/SA trigger further expand carry or competition options.
Sights consist of an integral front blade and drift-adjustable rear notch set in a dovetail for easy windage corrections. Black checkered polymer grips with brass Taurus medallions round out the classic look.
With a 15+1 capacity, two magazines, and its early-pattern features, this PT 92 AF offers reliable 9mm performance and a link to the model’s origins.
