Chiappa’s patented bottom-chamber firing positions the bore in line with the shooter’s wrist, markedly reducing muzzle rise and perceived recoil in rapid fire. In the 2-inch Rhino 200DS, this design advantage is complemented by an aluminum frame that keeps weight low without compromising strength.
The revolver’s hexagonal steel cylinder trims overall width while retaining full six-round .357 Magnum capacity. It operates with or without moon clips, offering flexibility for both .357 Magnum and .38 Special loads.
An external cocking lever controls an internal striker, giving shooters a crisp single-action option along with a smooth double-action trigger pull. Fixed sights include an orange fiber-optic front blade and a trench-style rear channel for fast target acquisition in close-range scenarios.
Factory-installed wooden finger-groove grips provide secure purchase, and a spare rubber grip ships in the case for users who prefer a softer texture. Italian proof marks and the CFIT22 serial prefix verify 2022 origin and compliance with CIP standards.
