The heart of this carbine is a 16-inch M4-contour barrel machined from 4150 CMV steel and finished with a corrosion-resistant nitride treatment inside and out. Threads are cut 1/2-28 UNEF, ready for muzzle devices or suppressor mounts.
Forged 7075-T6 upper and lower receivers wear a black hard-coat anodized finish. The lower is stamped "MULTI CAL" for caliber flexibility, and the upper provides a continuous Picatinny rail for optics or accessories.
Magpul’s MOE carbine-length handguard, six-position collapsible stock, and A2 pistol grip keep weight down while offering familiar ergonomics. Length of pull adjusts from 11.5 inches to match different shooters or gear setups.
The direct-impingement action uses a nitride-treated bolt carrier group for enhanced wear and easy cleaning. A manual selector provides safe and fire positions.
With an MSRP of $559 and current-generation 2024–25 production, this AM-15 delivers modern features and proven reliability in a ready-to-shoot package.
