The 7-inch S2W (Strength-to-Weight) barrel is cold-hammer-forged from 4150 CMV steel, chrome-lined, and capped with a Daniel Defense linear compensator on 5/8-24 threads. Combined with a pistol-length gas system, it delivers reliable cycling and optimal velocity in a very short profile.
Daniel Defense’s free-float MFR XL 6.0 M-LOK handguard offers a rigid mounting surface, full-length top rail alignment, and ample attachment slots while keeping overall weight low. The heavy profile barrel sits fully floated for repeatable accuracy.
Ambidextrous controls include the GRIP-N-RIP charging handle and bilateral safety selector, giving both-handed shooters intuitive operation. The two-rod Maxim Defense CQB brace adjusts for length and houses a proprietary buffer system tuned to the PDW’s short gas setup.
