This Gen 2 MPX uses a short-stroke gas-piston operating system—rare in pistol-caliber platforms—to keep fouling out of the action and ensure consistent performance with suppressed or unsuppressed fire. The closed-bolt rotating bolt design contributes to excellent reliability and accuracy.
The 4.5" carbon-steel barrel is nitrided for corrosion resistance and durability, finished with 13.5×1 LH threads and a factory flash hider for easy suppressor or muzzle-device installation. A 1:10 RH twist stabilizes a wide range of 9 mm loads.
Fully ambidextrous controls include the safety selector, bolt release, and magazine release, giving both right- and left-handed shooters intuitive manipulation. The Timney single-stage trigger breaks at approximately 4.5 lb, providing a crisp, consistent pull.
A monolithic upper with a full-length Picatinny rail mates to an aluminum M-LOK handguard, offering ample space for optics and accessories. The side-folding pivoting contour brace (PCB) lets the shooter reduce the footprint for storage or transport while retaining a solid shooting platform when deployed.
