The FN 509 Compact Tactical MRD packs full-size performance into a carry-ready footprint. Built on FN’s duty-proven 509 series, this variant adds a suppressor-ready barrel, factory optics cut, and full ambidextrous controls in one of the smallest 9 mm handguns to combine all three features. Its cold-hammer-forged stainless barrel, black PVD slide, and tritium night sights make it a versatile, purpose-built pistol for defensive carry or duty use.

Bore Condition: Good – Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.
Bore Rifling: Good Rifling – Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.
Light scratches, scuffs, and minor blemishes are visible on the slide and frame. The optics plate is not present.

Derived from FN’s XM17 Modular Handgun System submission, the 509 Compact Tactical MRD carries over the low-profile optics mounting system that accepts multiple micro-red-dot footprints without altering sight height.
The 4.32-inch cold-hammer-forged stainless barrel is threaded 1/2x28 UNEF and capped with an O-ring-equipped thread protector to help maintain consistent point of impact when adding or removing a suppressor.
Suppressor-height tritium night sights provide a clear co-witness with most miniature red dots and remain visible in low-light conditions. Front and rear slide serrations ensure positive manipulation even with gloved or wet hands.
Ambidextrous slide stop levers, an ambidextrous/reversible magazine release, and interchangeable backstraps let shooters tailor the pistol to individual preference while maintaining full control from either hand.
The polymer frame’s integrated accessory rail supports lights or lasers, and the included 24-round extended magazine gives the compact platform duty-grade capacity while the 12-round flush magazine keeps it discreet.
