The Classic Series 70 uses Colt’s original, mechanical firing system without a firing-pin safety, delivering the crisp trigger pull that made early Government Models famous. A short, solid, serrated trigger and wide-spur hammer further replicate vintage specification.
The 5-inch National Match stainless barrel, stamped “N.M.” and cut with a 1:16 LH twist, promotes match-grade accuracy while retaining standard Government Model dimensions for parts compatibility and holster fit.
Both frame and slide are carbon steel finished in deep Colt blue. The slide carries vertical rear serrations for positive manipulation and correct 1970s-era roll marks, while a drift-fit rear notch and staked front blade provide the classic GI sight picture.
Double-diamond checkered hardwood stocks, a flat mainspring housing, and Colt’s traditional thumb and grip safeties complete the period-correct handling profile. The pistol ships with an 8-round magazine and hard case, ready for range use or collection display.
