The Retro Series recreates the look and feel of the original Colt Model 635 SMG while keeping production entirely in the USA under the revitalized Harrington & Richardson banner. West Columbia, South Carolina roll marks and an SMG-prefix serial connect this piece to its heritage.
Its 10.5-inch 4150 CMV barrel is nitride-treated for durability and threaded 1/2-28 to accept common 9 mm muzzle devices or suppressors. A 1:10 right-hand twist stabilizes a wide range of bullet weights.
The straight-blowback operating system runs from a closed bolt for reliability and ease of maintenance. A dedicated feed-ramp in the lower ensures smooth cycling with 9 mm magazines, while the A-frame front sight and A1 dual-aperture rear provide proven iron-sight capability.
A two-position telescoping stock, A2 polymer pistol grip, and six-hole round polymer handguard preserve the authentic carbine ergonomics. Combined with forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers, the package delivers both period-correct lines and modern strength.
