This Slugster variant uses a carbon-steel, fully rifled barrel that stabilizes modern sabot slugs for dependable accuracy. The muzzle is non-threaded, consistent with Mossberg’s fixed-rifle-bore design.
The aluminum-alloy receiver is drilled and tapped, so mounting a dedicated scope base or rail takes only minutes. Twin action bars deliver smooth, jam-resistant cycling, while the tang-mounted safety is instinctive for both right- and left-handed shooters.
A Monte Carlo synthetic stock with a raised cheekpiece aligns the shooter’s eye naturally with optics. Textured pistol-grip panels, a ventilated recoil pad, and a rear sling-stud round out a stock built for steady shoulder reinforcement and field durability.
This North Haven-produced 500 carries the “V” serial prefix that denotes 20-gauge manufacture and is factory-rated for both standard 2 ¾-inch and magnum 3-inch shells.
