Beretta 92 Series Model 92 Compact L 9mm DA/SA Pistol | 4.25-Inch Barrel, 13+1, Rail-Less Collectible Variant
This Italian-made Beretta 92 Compact L blends the familiar 92FS operating system with a shorter barrel, reduced grip frame, and a rail-less dust cover that Beretta has discontinued. Collectors value this configuration for its compact size, Bruniton-finished alloy frame, and the open-top slide that defines the 92 lineage. A J92-prefix serial and factory upgrades—such as the oversized hammer-pin slide arrestor—place this pistol squarely in the desirable late-production era while retaining classic styling.

What’s Included
- Blue Beretta factory plastic hard case
- Beretta pistol user manual
- Factory cleaning tools
- Four 13-round Beretta 92 Compact steel magazines
The Compact L shortens the standard 92 barrel to 4.25 inches and trims the grip to accept flush-fit 13-round magazines, making it easier to carry while preserving full-size ergonomics.
An open-top, matte black Bruniton slide reduces weight and helps prevent stovepipe malfunctions. The slide-mounted safety/decocker allows safe hammer drops from either double-action or single-action modes, and the oversized hammer-pin slide arrestor represents Beretta’s factory safety upgrade.
The chrome-lined carbon-steel barrel and recessed crown support long-term accuracy and corrosion resistance. A low bore axis and locking-block short-recoil system contribute to the 92’s well-known recoil control.
Fixed three-dot sights, a reversible magazine release, and a curved, serrated trigger round out the practical features. Beretta’s black Bruniton finish on the aluminium-alloy frame and slide offers a non-reflective appearance and proven durability.
This rail-less dust-cover configuration is no longer in production, elevating its appeal to collectors seeking a classic 92 look in a compact footprint.
