The SL1230 is built around a CNC-machined moly-chrome steel receiver that houses a genuine seven-pin sidelock mechanism. Hand detachment allows easy inspection and maintenance, a feature often found only on high-grade doubles.
Both 30-inch barrels are chrome-lined, steel-shot proofed, and threaded for screw-in chokes, giving hunters and clays shooters flexibility with modern loads. Engine-turned mono-bloc and barrel flats add a touch of custom-shop refinement.
A bone-charcoal case-hardened finish covers the receiver, top lever, and tang, accented by 25% coverage of fine English scroll engraving executed at the factory. The result is a classic look that pairs well with the slim splinter fore-end and half-pistol-grip stock.
The hand-selected Turkish walnut stock features crisp hand checkering, a Prince-of-Wales style grip, 14.5-inch length of pull, and a traditional wood butt-plate. The overall balance favors quick mounts and smooth swings on fast-moving game.
