The DDM4 PDW was engineered around a 7-inch cold-hammer-forged CMV steel barrel with a pistol-length gas system, giving the shooter reliable cycling across supersonic and subsonic .300 BLK loads. The 1:7 RH twist rate stabilizes the full weight range of modern projectiles, and the 5/8×24 threaded muzzle ships with a Dead Air KeyMo 3-prong flash hider that doubles as a quick-attach mount for Dead Air suppressors.
At just 20.75–24.75 inches overall, the Maxim Defense PDW brace keeps the firearm easy to store and maneuver while still offering three length adjustments for a secure cheek weld. Daniel Defense’s free-float MFR XL 6.0 M-LOK handguard provides a rigid mounting surface for lights and lasers without adding bulk, and an SLR Rifleworks knurled handstop is already installed for consistent indexing.
Controls are fully ambidextrous, including the safety selector and charging handle. The factory trigger group has been upgraded to a Franklin Armory BFSIII binary trigger that fires one round on the pull and one on the release in binary mode, while retaining safe and semi settings.
