The AA-0940 is machined from 7075-T6 billet aluminum for both upper and lower receivers, providing strength and a precise fit. The lower is marked “CALIBER: MULTI,” letting you convert to .40 S&W or .357 SIG with matching uppers and magazines.
A 6.5-inch chrome-moly steel barrel is Melonite-treated inside and out for corrosion resistance and longevity. The 1/2x28 threads accept common muzzle devices or suppressors, and a slick-side upper with a full-length 1913 rail offers plenty of optic placement options.
The pistol uses a straight blowback action tuned for reliable cycling with standard or +P 9 mm loads. Angstadt’s patented last-round bolt-hold-open system functions with Glock-pattern magazines, giving positive lock-back on an empty mag—an uncommon feature in many AR-9 platforms.
An Angstadt Arms 5.5-inch M-LOK free-float handguard keeps weight down while allowing accessory mounting. The brace features a Velcro strap for one-hand stabilization and folds compactly for transport.
