This Accelerator MP-17 stands out as one of the very few handguns purpose-built for the high-velocity .17 HMR rimfire cartridge. Made in the United States, it combines a corrosion-resistant 17-4 stainless-steel bull barrel with a lightweight polymer frame and a full-length Picatinny/Weaver rail for optics. Production ended in 2023, making this out-of-print model increasingly hard to find, especially in this condition.

The 8.5-inch 17-4 stainless bull barrel gives the MP-17 rifle-like velocities and excellent heat resistance while keeping maintenance simple. Its simple blowback action reliably manages the high-pressure .17 HMR rimfire round without added complexity.
The slide, receiver, and barrel share a uniform matte stainless finish that resists corrosion and blends cleanly with the matte-black polymer frame. Angled cocking serrations and a left-side cylindrical charging knob provide positive purchase when racking the slide.
A full-length Picatinny/Weaver rail runs from the rear sight to the muzzle, allowing quick attachment of red dots, scopes, or lights. The slide locks open on an empty magazine, speeding reloads and offering immediate chamber status confirmation.
Sighting duties are handled by a fixed front blade and a fully adjustable rear notch, giving the shooter precise control over elevation and windage without aftermarket parts.
