The FN 509 Tactical brings service-grade engineering to a full-size, optics-ready platform finished in Flat Dark Earth. Built on FN’s combat-proven 509 Series, this model features a cold-hammer-forged, threaded barrel, suppressor-height night sights, and fully ambidextrous controls. An included 24-round magazine delivers extended capacity, while the Low-Profile Optics Mounting System accepts multiple red-dot footprints without added bulk.

Developed from FN’s Modular Handgun System entry, the 509 Tactical is endurance tested to over one million rounds. The stainless steel barrel is cold-hammer-forged, threaded 1/2x28 TPI, and finished in black nitride for corrosion resistance. A recessed target crown protects accuracy when using a suppressor or compensator.
The slide arrives optics-ready with FN’s Low-Profile Mounting System, letting shooters install popular micro red-dot sights while retaining co-witness through suppressor-height tritium night sights. Deep forward and rear cocking serrations provide sure handling with or without an optic.
Fully ambidextrous slide stop, magazine release, and accessory rail support left- or right-handed use straight from the box. Aggressive grip texturing and interchangeable backstraps tailor the FDE polymer frame to a wide range of hand sizes.
