The TRS Commander is Nighthawk Custom’s Tactical Ready Series pistol scaled for 9 mm and fitted with a commander-length 4.25" match barrel. Built under the company’s “One Gun, One Gunsmith” philosophy, this early NDS-prefix double-stack combines a steel frame with a fully machined aluminum grip module to deliver 17+1 capacity in a carry-length slide. A black nitride finish, gold-bead front sight, and a tuned 3.5–3.75 lb trigger round out a package designed for hard use without sacrificing refinement.
Condition
Overall Condition: Excellent condition, showing only faint signs of any prior use or handling.
Bore Condition: Excellent – Clean, mirror finish, no signs of wear.
Rifling Condition: Excellent – Sharp lands and grooves.
Some mild handling wear is visible on high-contact areas, but the pistol remains in fantastic shape overall.

This TRS Commander pairs a full-size slide with a commander-length barrel, giving shooters a longer sight radius while keeping overall length manageable. The gold-bead front post and Heinie Straight Eight Ledge rear make for a high-visibility, snag-free sight picture that excels in varied lighting.
The pistol’s steel frame wears a durable black nitride finish that matches the slide. Attached is Nighthawk’s fully machined aluminum double-stack grip module featuring aggressive dimple texturing for a secure hold without excessive abrasiveness.
Front and rear cocking serrations are also dimpled, echoing the grip texture and aiding manipulation in gloves or adverse conditions. An integral dust-cover rail provides real estate for lights or lasers.
Inside, the single-action trigger is hand-tuned to a crisp 3.5–3.75 lb break, and the 9 mm barrel is crowned flush with the bushing for optimal accuracy. Thumb and grip safeties deliver the familiar 1911 manual of arms, while the 17-round magazine capacity sets this pistol apart from traditional single-stack designs.
