The lightweight 28-ounce aluminum frame, factory Carry Melt de-horn treatment, and tritium night sights give it everyday practicality, while the stainless match-grade barrel and tuned trigger deliver the performance serious 1911 enthusiasts expect.

The Pro CDP is the Commander-length member of the CDP line, pairing a 4-inch match-grade stainless barrel with a single-stack frame that accepts standard Government- or Commander-length magazines. Kimber’s Carry Melt treatment rounds every edge of the slide and frame, reducing snag points without sacrificing the flat-top profile or front and rear cocking serrations.
The aluminum alloy frame wears a durable KimPro II charcoal-gray finish and 30 lpi checkering on the front strap and under the trigger guard for enhanced purchase. Rosewood double-diamond grips complete the two-tone look while providing a firm, comfortable hold.
A skeletonized aluminum three-hole trigger and rounded Commander-style hammer reduce lock-time and weight, complementing the single-action mechanism. The Series II Swartz-type firing-pin safety, grip safety, and ambidextrous thumb safety offer multiple layers of mechanical security.
Low-profile dovetail night sights with tritium inserts deliver a bright, clear sight picture in all lighting conditions. A full-length guide rod and 14-lb recoil spring ensure reliable cycling with standard-pressure or +P .45 ACP loads.
