This 100 % U.S.–made IO Inc Sporter is a true AKM-pattern rifle purpose-built for California compliance. A factory-installed fixed 10-round magazine, chrome-lined barrel, and classic orange-red laminated wood furniture make it a distinctive choice for shooters who want an authentic look without giving up key features like muzzle threads and a bayonet lug.

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.

The laminated wood furniture has scattered scratches and small blemishes consistent with normal handling. Metal surfaces show a few tiny spots of rust and pitting that do not affect function. The bore is bright and shiny from chamber to muzzle.

Built on a stamped sheet-steel receiver with a manganese-phosphate finish, this Sporter represents IO Inc’s effort to produce an all-American AKM during the mid-2010s. The rifle bears “MADE IN THE USA, I.O. INC USA” marks and sits in the early “S00xxxx” serial block.
The 16" 4140/4150 steel barrel is chrome-lined for corrosion resistance and long service life. It uses the standard 14×1 LH thread pattern, so accessories designed for AKM threads can be added where legal. Inside, a 1:10 RH twist stabilizes a wide range of 7.62x39 ammunition.
California compliance is achieved with a factory-installed, non-removable 10-round polymer magazine. The mag is fixed into the receiver and cannot be removed without gunsmithing, allowing the rifle to retain its standard selector lever safety, pistol grip, bayonet lug, and threaded muzzle.
Laminated hardwood furniture gives the rifle a traditional look and a 13.0" length of pull. Matching laminated handguards complete the aesthetic while providing a stable grip area.
Sights are the classic AKM set: a drift-adjustable front post and a tangent rear sight graduated for range adjustments. No optics side rail is present, keeping the receiver profile clean and true to early AKM lines.
