This 1942 VKT Mosin-Nagant Model 1891 M/91 B-Barrel is a Finnish-rebuilt battle rifle from the Continuation War. Made with scarce Belgian “B” steel, it retains the long 31.5 in barrel, octagonal receiver, and distinct Finnish D-throat chambering that safely handles both light and heavy ball ammunition. Matching serials on the receiver and bolt, clean blued metalwork, and a bright bolt round out a rifle sought after by military-arms collectors.

Built by VKT in 1942, this B-barrel example reflects Finland’s extensive Mosin-Nagant refurbishment program during the Continuation War. Finnish armorers installed new Belgian-sourced barrels, marked them with the boxed “B,” and blue-finished all metal before placing the rifles back into service.
The receiver is the desirable pre-war octagonal type, and both the receiver and bolt carry matching serial number 22764, supporting its integrity as a complete Finnish rebuild. Century Arms import markings are present but discreetly placed on the barrel underside.
The 31.5 in four-groove, right-hand-twist barrel features the Finnish D-throat modification, letting shooters use either 147-gr light ball or 182-gr heavy ball 7.62x54R with confidence. A drift-adjustable blade front sight and tangent-leaf rear sight remain in their correct wartime configuration.
Furniture consists of an oil-finished birch stock with sling swivels and a matching hardwood handguard. The stock retains proper wartime contours, while the rifle’s bright bolt contrasts the uniform blued steel receiver and barrel.
