The heart of this rifle is a 14.5-inch, cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel with a 1:7 RH twist for optimal performance with modern 55- to 77-grain 5.56 NATO ammunition. The barrel is pinned and welded to a Dead Air DA301 three-prong flash hider, giving you compact handling without the paperwork of an SBR.
The RIS III 12.5-inch free-float handguard delivers full-length M-LOK compatibility while retaining the proven Daniel Defense quad-rail profile at the 12 o’clock position for rigid accessory mounting. Its 6061-T6 aluminum construction balances strength and weight.
Fully ambidextrous controls—including bolt catch, magazine release, and safety selector—allow efficient manipulation from either shoulder. The GRIP-N-RIP charging handle offers positive purchase under stress or when running optics.
