A Desert FDE Cerakote slide sits over a matching polymer frame, both cut for optics and finished to withstand hard use. Factory upgrades—such as the META flat-faced trigger, extended ambidextrous controls, and a removable flared magwell—give this full-size pistol competition-grade speed in a defensive package.

This XD-M Elite is optics-ready from the factory, featuring a slide cut that accepts popular red-dot footprints and forward/rear grasping grooves for positive manipulation. The flat-faced META trigger delivers a crisp break with an integral over-travel stop, while dual safeties in the grip and trigger maintain carry assurance without external levers.
The hammer-forged, match-grade 4.5-inch barrel wears a Melonite treatment and a 1:16 RH twist, optimizing 10 mm velocity and accuracy while resisting corrosion. Springfield’s extended ambidextrous magazine release and slide-stop levers accommodate right- and left-hand shooters equally well.
An extended, removable flared magwell speeds reloads and can be removed for a slimmer profile if preferred. The pistol ships with Mega-Lock textured grip panels and interchangeable backstraps to tailor fit, plus a molded 3-slot Picatinny rail ready for lights or lasers.
Finished in matching Desert FDE, the slide’s Tactical Rack U-Dot rear and fiber-optic front sights provide a fast sight picture even without an optic installed. Proof marks on the frame confirm HS Produkt manufacture in Croatia, and the pistol carries a 2020s-era Springfield Armory MSRP of $695.
