Ruger KP89DC 9mm Stainless DA/SA Pistol – 1992 Production, Terhune Anticorro Finish, 15+1
The KP89DC is the decocker-only variant of Ruger’s P-Series workhorse. Built in 1992—the first year this model was offered—it combines a bead-blasted stainless slide with a matte gray aluminum-alloy frame to deliver rugged, all-weather performance. A Terhune Anticorro stamp on the slide confirms the corrosion-resistant finish, while ambidextrous decocker levers, a full-size grip, and 15-round magazines make this an easy pistol to run and maintain.

Introduced in 1992, the KP89DC was the first P-Series pistol to offer a decocker-only configuration. Eliminating a manual safety speeds up the manual of arms while keeping the DA/SA trigger system intact.
The slide is machined from stainless steel and finished with Ruger’s bead-blasted Terhune Anticorro treatment, valued for its resistance to rust in service environments. Matching ambidextrous decocker levers give both right- and left-handed shooters immediate access.
Its investment-cast aluminum-alloy frame keeps overall weight manageable without sacrificing durability. A lanyard loop is integral to the grip frame—useful for duty carry or range convenience.
Fixed three-dot sights—pinned front, drift-adjustable rear—offer a familiar sight picture and stay zeroed under recoil. The 4.5-inch stainless barrel delivers reliable accuracy, and the pistol shares magazine compatibility with Ruger’s PC9 carbines, adding versatility for owners of both platforms.
