The Renegade’s heavy, one-inch-across-flats barrel delivers consistent ignition and stability with its 1:48 twist, a rate well-suited for both patched round balls and conical projectiles. The carbon steel barrel is blued for classic appearance and corrosion resistance.
Thompson/Center equipped this rifle with a fully adjustable double-set trigger. The front trigger functions conventionally, while setting the rear trigger allows a crisp, light let-off ideal for precision shots.
A dovetailed blade front sight pairs with an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight, providing a clear sight picture that remains in line with traditional muzzleloader aesthetics. Two keyed wedges with oval escutcheons secure the barrel solidly to the walnut half-stock, ensuring repeatable accuracy during extended range sessions.
The color-case–hardened lock plate displays factory scroll engraving, adding a touch of craftsmanship without compromising durability. Weighing approximately 8 lb with a 13.5" length of pull, the rifle balances well for off-hand shooting while staying comfortable on the bench.
