What’s Included
- Remington Model 7600 “Kool Blue” pump-action rifle
- 1× 4-round Remington factory steel detachable box magazine
Only 250 Kool Blue rifles left the Ilion factory, making this one of the scarcest Model 7600 variants. Each rifle received dyed laminate stocks and a matching beavertail fore-end that set it apart from standard walnut or synthetic furniture. The laminated birch not only adds visual impact but also resists environmental changes better than traditional wood.
The 22-inch carbon-steel barrel is paired with a gold-anodized single-stage trigger—another limited-edition touch—and the action retains the Model 760 lineage’s smooth pump stroke. A cross-bolt safety sits just behind the trigger guard, and the detachable 4-round steel magazine enables quick reloads.
Sights consist of a dovetailed ramp front blade and an adjustable folding rear leaf, while the drilled-and-tapped receiver carries a factory scope base for easy optics installation. Sling swivel studs come installed in the stock and fore-end for field carry.
With its collectible status, premium laminate furniture, and the versatility of the .25-06 Rem. cartridge, this Kool Blue edition offers both display value and practical capability. As one of the last limited-run 7600s before Remington’s 2020 production pause, it represents a distinct chapter in the company’s history.
