CZ 97 B .45 ACP Full-Size DA/SA Pistol – 2016 Production, Black Polycoat, Fiber-Optic Front Sight
The CZ 97 B blends the heavy-duty feel of a steel-framed .45 with the smooth operation of CZ’s inside-rail slide design. This 2016-dated example carries the later-generation fiber-optic front sight, checkered hardwood grips, and a tough black polycoat finish. With its 10-round double-stack magazines and screw-in barrel bushing, it offers a modern feature set in a model that CZ discontinued in 2022, making well-kept specimens like this increasingly scarce.

Built on a carbon-steel frame and slide, the CZ 97 B employs a short-recoil, locked-breech DA/SA action with a spur hammer and a manual thumb safety. The firing-pin block, half-cock notch, and loaded-chamber indicator provide additional safety layers without complicating the manual of arms.
The cold hammer-forged 4.65-inch barrel, combined with full-length slide rails and a screw-in barrel bushing, delivers solid lock-up and consistent accuracy. Top-rib serrations reduce glare along the sight plane, and the fiber-optic front sight offers quick target acquisition against the fixed serrated rear.
Inside-slide rails lower the bore axis while keeping the reciprocating mass within the frame, a signature CZ design that contributes to a stable recoil impulse in the .45 ACP chambering. The 10-round double-stack magazines maximize capacity without enlarging the grip profile beyond a comfortable full-size contour.
Czech proof marks, a three-point matching serial number set, and a clear 2016 proof year stamp authenticate the pistol’s origin and production date. With production ending in 2022, this clean, lightly used example represents a late-run configuration sought after by shooters and collectors alike.
