SIG Sauer P229 Legacy Non-Rail .40 S&W Compact, Factory DA/SA Conversion with Armory Craft Upgrades
This German-frame, U.S.-finished SIG Sauer P229 Legacy delivers classic lines in a compact, non-rail package while adding factory-approved performance. Originally built as a DAO pistol, it was converted to traditional DA/SA by the SIG Custom Shop using OEM parts. An Armory Craft flat-faced adjustable trigger, short-reset trigger kit, and oversized textured takedown lever further refine control, giving the shooter a crisp break, rapid reset, and easy fieldstripping—all without altering the trusted P229 reliability.

The alloy frame is the sought-after “legacy” variant with the slim, non-railed dust cover, providing classic P229 balance and reduced bulk for carry. Its hard-anodized matte black finish matches the Nitron-coated stainless slide, which carries deep rear serrations for confident manipulation.
The SIG Custom Shop conversion restores a smooth double-action pull followed by a light, consistent single-action break, all backed by the SIG decocker for safe lowering of the hammer. The Armory Craft flat adjustable trigger and SRT kit shorten travel and reset, giving the shooter rapid follow-up capability.
SIGLITE tritium night sights—low-profile yet easy to pick up—offer a bright three-dot picture in any light. Inside, the 3.9-inch carbon-steel barrel is phosphated for corrosion resistance and features a polished feed ramp for reliable cycling of .40 S&W duty loads.
With the combination of legacy ergonomics, factory-authorized DA/SA conversion, and carefully selected aftermarket enhancements, this P229 stands out as a ready-to-run defensive or duty sidearm that still respects the original SIG Sauer design.
