H&R Handi-Rifle SB2 .223 Rem. Single-Shot with 24" Barrel & 3-9x32 Scope
Built on H&R’s SB2 center-fire frame, this late-production Handi-Rifle pairs the simplicity of a break-action single shot with the versatility of a drilled-and-tapped 24" carbon-steel barrel. Manufactured in Ilion, New York and marked with the oval “REP” proof, it represents the final era of H&R rifles before the line was discontinued in 2015. The rifle comes outfitted with a mounted 3-9x32 scope, giving the shooter a ready-to-go package known for dependable accuracy and the option to add additional barrels.

The SB2 frame is the heart of H&R’s modular system, allowing users to fit additional factory barrels of different calibers on the same receiver. This makes the rifle a cost-effective platform for shooters who value versatility.
The 24" carbon-steel barrel is drilled and tapped, wears a matte-blued finish to match the steel frame, and is known for delivering good accuracy with factory .223 Rem. loads.
A hardwood stock and fore-end provide a classic feel. The semi-pistol grip design offers a comfortable hold, while factory-installed sling swivel studs make it easy to add a carrying sling.
An exposed hammer, transfer-bar safety, and break-action design keep operation straightforward and reliable. The 12.5" length of pull suits a wide range of shooters and aids quick handling in the field.
